It’s safe to say that summer feels a bit different this year.

While we may not be finding ourselves jet-setting around the world to beautiful destinations, it doesn’t mean we cannot still enjoy the more simple side to what summer has to offer. After all, the ease up off of your travel budget just might free up some space to splurge in the wardrobe department.

When it comes to my summer style this year, I’m keeping things super simple and laid back. Most of my weekends involve lounging in the back yard along with a few road trips to the lake. I’m all about comfort and ease this summer which is why I’m excited to share a few favorite items with you that I can’t get enough of.

A Good Basic Tee

I absolutely love Amo’s Babe Tees. I’ve been rocking them for the past year and they’re my favorite because they’re slightly cropped but not too cropped. I love slightly tucking in my t-shirts in the front and the babe tee hits in a sweet spot to be able to do this. I have this t-shirt in white too and just recently purchased the tank version.

Mini Bags

Gone are the days of stomping around the city or hopping around town all day running errands. I can’t say that I miss it too much. But I also still need a cute little bag this summer for quick outings and store runs. I recently fell in love with a new line called Vasic and purchased this little bucket bag. I love being able to grab my wallet, mask, and hand sanitizer quickly. I also really love this affordable cross body bag which can leave you hands free for grocery shopping and this adorable white bag by Acne. White bags during the summer some how match with everything!

Tan Summer Slides

I’m constantly getting questions about what my favorite summer sandals are and to be honest, I’m constantly on the hunt for the best pair. I’m  happy to report that I’ve found a winner! These new beauties by Staud are going to be worn a lot this summer! They are just dressy enough to be able to wear to dinner al fresco or dressed down to the beach. I am obsessed with how comfortable they are!

A Flirty Top

One of the fundamental elements that I think everyone should have in their closet is a girlie top for summer. Whether it’s all lace, puffy sleeves or a flirty ruffle collar, I just love the look of a girlie top with denim. It’s a nice mix of feminine meets rough around the edges and it’s a style you can wear all summer long.

Boyfriend Denim

I like to call it boyfriend denim vs. “Mom Jeans.” This high waisted style is very popular and can be a bit difficult to pull off. I think the trick is all about the fit. I was very nervous to order denim online but truly loved the way these Moussy Vintage jeans fit. They have quickly become a favorite and if you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably spotted me wearing them constantly.

Sweet Shades

Every summer I like to purchased a fun pair of sunnies to rock by the pool and at the beach. It gets me in the summer spirit. Last year I rocked my white shades, but this year is all about these caramel sunnies I scored by Le Specs. The price makes me happy and every time I put them on I feel happy.
