I am writing this with a belly full of the best pasta I’ve ever had in my life, which followed one of the most exquisite sunset picnic experiences of all time. To say that I am speechless is an understatement. And just in case you needed additional convincing, here are my top 10 reasons to love the Peninsula Paris.
One. The windows in our room open up to the best views of all time. On one side of our room we saw the Eiffel Tower, the other a quite street and don’t even get me started on the rooftop {private} garden.
Two. Every person who works at this unique property goes above and beyond to ensure that guests feel welcome. Every day we were surprised by some sort of sweet gesture: a bottle of wine, a book about Naples {my next destination}, a cheese board and personalized deserts. These are just a few unique ways the staff made us feel special.
Three. There was a framed photo of Polly {my pup} next to the bed when I arrived. Need I say more?
Four. It’s quiet. This is a very important aspect for someone who truly values their sleep.
Five. The bikes! BMW bikes! They were the nicest bicycles I have ever seen!
Six. Seriously, going back to non-heated toilet seats is going to suck.
Seven. There was always very talented entertainment in the main dining area varying from guitarists to piano and violin players. It really suited the mood of being in Paris.
Eight. Not only was the bathtub phenomenal but the {Hermés} product in the bathrooms was a true treat!
Nine. I may or may not have slipped a pair of slippers into my bag {ssshh!}. The bedding and linens were super soft and extremely comfortable. I usually can’t sleep on any bed outside of my own but I slept like a baby.
Ten. The spa. The pool. Oh my gosh, you guys. The pool is heated and located in this warm room, so even on the coldest of days you still want to take a plunge. I could literally feel my stress melt away just walking in.
