We all know water is great for you, but does it ever seem like just another thing on your endless checklist?
One of my 2019 goals has been to drink more water and whenever I have a task at hand, I always plan my path of execution. I wanted to reap what seems like the endless benefits of upping your water intake – clearer skin, higher energy levels, fewer headaches, removing toxins etc. etc. The list goes on and on…
Here are 10 tricks I have implemented to up my hydration game.
Nothing motivates me to drink water more than finding a water bottle I love. Simply put, it's cute and compact, I'll want to carry it around more. This water bottle happens to be both! A perfect space saving option and pretty adorable if you ask me.
Straws are great because it makes it so much easier for me to consume large amounts of water. There's something about them that I just love, but the problem is, are horrible for the environment. These reusable straws are great because you get to be environmentally friendly and up your water intake all at once.
Sometimes plain old water is just boring. While a squeeze of lemon or lime spruces things up a bit, why not mix it up a little? Add orange, berries, plus some mint for extra flavor {and vitamins!}.
I love a list, I love a planner, and I love that I can stick this sticker on either and track my water intake for the day. So cute and also such a good little gift for a friend.
If you're over plain water, and you're over adding fruit, make it bubbly! Sparkling water always makes it feel like I'm drinking something more fun and a little fancy too.
Wake up, chug water. Get one glass out of the way first thing in the AM and get your body energized for the day. Add some lemon for a metabolic boost.
There's nothing better than a tall glass of ice water on a hot summer's day. Find an ice cube tray you love and make sure you stay stocked up. Pro tip: getting a fun ice tray is a perfect way to get kids into drinking more water.
Bedside - water, office desk - water, kitchen counter - water. Making it accessible is half the battle. Mason jars are perfect because they are inexpensive and adorable and perfect for any area of your life.
... and hold each other accountable! Everything is easier with someone by your side supporting you along the way. Buy matching water bottles and keep tabs on each other's hydration. Send each other a text at the end of the each day to see how it went.
Whether you like use a water bottle, a glass cup, keep it cold, or whatever it may be, have a system in place that will get the job done. If you like your water cold and on the go, make sure to have cubes that fit in the top of the bottle. If you need to track it on your cell, there is surely an app for it. You know what works for you, so make it easy! As I said before, have whatever you need accessible and you're already half way there!
