I’ve never been big on Valentine’s Day. My best friend Gia almost sold me on the holiday when she told me the story about how the holiday originated. I know, I know, but I’m just not a chocolates and flowers kind of girl. I’d rather go out on a random night the weekend before or after February 14th to eat a big bowl of pasta and go listen to some jazz at a dive bar. My new favorite thing to wear when I’m heading out on a date with my mister is a slip dress. They are hands down the easiest thing to throw on and go and it is a trend that my husband has gotten on board with. I love slip dresses because you can wear it dressed up with heels like these photos, or you can throw on sandals and a denim jacket for a more day time-appropriate look.
