I was flying to New York a few weeks ago reading Porter Magazine when I flipped to a page about the evening sandals trend and immediately thought to myself, “Here’s something I can get on board with.” With spring wedding season just around the corner, I’ve already made the claim that I am putting my heels aside and only wearing my new favorite flats by Chanel {which you can find at the bottom of this post}. I’ve included a few other embellished favorites throughout this post. I also think that a nude, lace dress is the perfect attire as a wedding guest. You quite literally will blend in with the setting while also looking elegant. Nude and cream lace dresses are perfect because you can dress them up with your hair and make-up choice, or dress them down like I’ve done with this outfit by pairing flats and going more natural with your hair.
I actually have the top version of this dress and I'm in love with the way that it fits. Ganni knows how to design pieces to really show off a woman's body in the most flattering way.
Shop NowWhen you're looking for evening sandals, it's important to pay attention to the materials being used. Try to stick with metallic, velvet, satin and pearl embellished and shy away from leather or other heavy metals.
Shop NowAs a wedding guest, I almost never wear a dress that hits above the knee. Call me old-fashioned but this is my rule of thumb.
Shop NowI'm in love with these velvet sandals and think you can wear them with dresses or denim!
Shop NowThis dress is a little more pink than it is nude, but because pink is such a strong trend right now I'm really vibing on it. I think the best way to toughen up pink lace so it doesn't feel too girlie is to wear black as an accent either with a shoe or a bag.
Shop NowThese are my current favorites that will carry you through summer. You can wear them out and about at night or to the pool during the day. Satin in this seasons hottest shoe trend.
