I’m slowly but surely settling in to my extended stay in New York. After a few days of sweltering heat, the city started to cool off just in time for a nice weekend which I spent catching up with friends. I ate, a lot, and have shared a few favorite restaurants in this post along with a few funny stories.

In true New York style, I boarded the 'M' train in Brooklyn trying to go uptown and ended up at Wall Street.
One of my sweet readers left a comment on Instagram to try out this adorable cafe in Williamsburg. I am so happy I took her advice. My grilled cheese tomato soup combo was amazing and the atmosphere and decor of this restaurant was so adorable!
A very close family friend who used to live in Brooklyn suggested having lunch at Marlow & Sons. I scooped up some breakfast sausage, eggs and the best cheese of all time while I was there which was delish!
Anyone who knows me well, knows that this is one of my favorite boozy brunch spots in the city. It was drizzling a bit on Saturday morning so we cozied up in this dark spot. My friend Lina spontaneously happened to be in the area just as Haleigh and I were sitting down to stuff our faces. We ended up staying for over 3 hours, drawing funny maps on the tables while sipping on champagne.
One of my favorite brands, Jo Malone, launched their new blog this weekend called “Talk of the Townhouse.” I am obsessed with their clean branding and consistent style. I love, love their new blog and will continue to take inspiration from it. It’s so nice when companies start blogs that are a true representation of their branding. Jo Malone has done a wonderful job with this.
I am in love with my apartment in Williamsburg which I found on One Fine Stay {not sponsored}. I will be doing a full post featuring this cute space toward the end of my trip.
Bodega Cats. Need I say more? At the little deli convenient store on my corner, I found this cutie pie who seemed to like my camera.
