I wasn’t planning on doing anything extra special for my birthday weekend. Outside of escaping from the madness of Coachella, I was looking forward to having a very mellow weekend at home. However, on a whim {after renting a vintage car for my shoot with Shopbop} I decided to rent a vintage ’67 Electra on Saturday. We scooped up my sis-in-law and her husband and cruised up the coast to Paradise Cove. Later that night, we drove the car to a friends birthday dinner party. I really loved how they didn’t assign seating at the dinner. They spaced out significant others, which I thought was a really nice way to get conversations moving. I mean, let’s be honest, I see my husband all the time! I met a few new friends and sat next to a few old ones and it was truly a lovely evening. On Sunday we took my father in law’s boat out for a family Easter sail. It was a wonderful way to spend the holiday and it turns out that my birthday weekend was quite adventurous after all!
