While I was at a wonderful dinner in Florence with friends I learned a very popular saying that translates as: “Don’t let the farmer know how good the cheese is with the pear.” It’s funny how perfectly perfect cheese is with pear. I didn’t realize how deliciously matched they were until this trip. The saying brings on laughs because if the farmer knew, then he’d keep all the cheese & pears for himself! “Don’t let the farmer know how good the cheese is with the pear.” I say, screw it, let the farmer know! Because everyone deserves to live a wonderful life of happiness and bliss. Even if it means pardoning yourself the fullest of joy, at the end of the day you have to ask yourself: What are you willing to sacrifice for the happiness of others?
