Whether I am traveling near or far I want to look chic, yet feel comfortable. I don’t know about you, but I miss the days when people used to get glammed up for globe-trotting. When I’m hopping from one place to the next, I always try and wear a pair of comfortable heels with a flirty outfit that sets the mood for some instant fun upon arrival. You’d be surprised at how wearing a pair of heels {go with wedges} can put you in a good mood. Of course I always stash a pair of cute flats in my tote just in case I have to run from gate to gate!

{p.s. that bulldog statue made William & Polly extremely jealous}

  • Adorable travel outfit! I love a black and white combo with some red thrown in. I am totally with you on the glamming up part-people used to be so fabulous! I do have to say though, when I am traveling I really want to be comfy, but of course that doesn’t mean you cant look great! Oh, also, your dog is adorable. I’m sure you are fully aware of that fact already 🙂

  • Love those wedges!

  • Definitely a cute and comfy traveling outfit :). I love the silhouette of the skirt, and the hint of gold in the wedges is stellar 🙂

  • that tote is fab-u-lous! I agree about traveling in style – my grandmother always used to say she missed the days when people got dressed up to fly or take a road trip. there’s nothing worse that getting off a plane in a pair of leggings and v-neck and having to go change, so it’s a great idea to be dressed for whatever adventure might come your way

  • The bracelets are calling to me!

  • We literally have on almost the exact same outfit right now except my skirt is pleated and peach colored!

  • Thought I recognized that dog! Haha was just there a couple of weeks ago! 🙂

  • Love that Tory bag, so great for travel! You’re gorgeous as always 🙂

  • i love your outfit and you have killer legs.

Love this! I too miss the days of dressing up for trips to the airport! Sadly, now pajamas seem acceptable. I always try to dress fashionably yet comfortably. And I always wear shoes that slip on and off easily for security 🙂

  • I love those wedges! thanks for the link to the similar pair.

  • SWOON! That weekend bag is absolutely gorgeous! I love the color, the style, and the size. That’s the perfect piece for Summer vacations! <3

Yes! I don’t see how wearing baggy, worn-out sweatpants is more comfortable than a pair of chic, loose-fit trousers. Of course we all want to feel at ease when traveling, but does that necessitate wearing an old college t-shirt and fuzzy bedroom slippers to the airport? You look put-together and comfortable! I hope you do more posts with packing tips– I’m one of those terrible travelers who manages to both over-pack and yet not have enough outfits.

  • I love your traveling outfit! You’re so right… flying and train-riding used to be an event and now all I see are girls in sweats and ugg boots. Let’s go back!

    Chelsea & The City

  • Cute, lovely outfit! I am very much the same when it comes to traveling. Love getting dressed up, but I get very uncomfortable in planes and the UK trains. I just cannot stand seeing trackies and jumpers!

  • That weekender is FABULOUS!

  • Loving that bag and those shoes!

  • Sam

That outfit is positively adorable. I love those wedges. I also like dressing up when I go traveling since it makes me feel ready to get going when I arrive.

  • So cute! Your red jade ring would’ve been perfect with that outfit 🙂

  • Love those shoes – you are so right, socitety is so used to travelling now it seems to have taken the glamour and excitment out of it! I am flying to Bali next month, so i iwll be sure to wear a pair of comfy wedges and a cute, travel friendly outfit to match!

    Great Post

  • Love this entire look and that weekender is so perfect!! xo.

  • Such a cute back for traveling! Love it!
