Video 4 years ago Why I Dress My Daughter in Cotton
There are millions of choices in our daily routine, but the most important choices I’ve been making lately are the ones that apply to my daughter, June.
Between her sleep schedule, introduction to solid foods, the thousands of choices of swaddles, soaps and books to read about babies, there is one decision that’s easy for me. Any time I see that a product is made with cotton, or cottonseed oil, I know it’s going to be a home run for us to use.
June runs super hot, especially during these summer months, and dressing her in cotton keeps things cool and comfortable. I also know that it’s a softer, healthier option against her delicate skin because cotton is a hypoallergenic fabric. I was also thrilled to learn that our favorite bath time soap is made with real cotton. It smells like heaven too!
At the end of the day, I want June to be comfortable. It’s nice to know that the fiber my dad is growing back home on our family farm is what I love using the most on my daughter—cotton.
