Style Tips 5 years ago What I'm Packing for St. Barth's
We’ve been counting down our trip to St. Barth’s all year!
The last time we were on the beautiful island, I found out I was pregnant with June and we couldn’t be more excited to return to this magical place for our best friend’s wedding.
While we usually venture over to the Leavitt’s house in Aspen for a ski getaway, I’ve been craving some sun and sand. I’ve slowly put together a packing list that feels efficient and appropriate for the week’s activities which include a boat day, dinners and of course, the wedding!
Here are a few things on my packing list, including a few items in the photos below that are a part of a very special collaboration I’ll be announcing in January {hint, hint}. Can you guess what brand I’m designing something for?
I thought I’d share for those of you heading someplace warm this holiday.
Long Button Down Dress
I know it’s a little on the pricier side, but I really love the print of this dress by L’Agence. I think I’ll wear it on the plane and as a swimsuit cover-up one day. I also love that it will look great unbuttoned as a duster.
I recently purchased this dress from Rachel Comey {I love everything she does} and it fits so damn good! I’m taking it as a second option to wear to the wedding with white strappy sandals and more tropical earrings. I thought this dress was an amazing investment because it can be styled year-round and will make a wonderful staple in my closet.
I always recommend packing two dresses if you are going to a destination wedding.
That way you can get a feel for the crowd once you arrive at your destination. I always pack a dressier option and then a more casual option so depending on the way everyone else is dressing, I can make my choice the day of. I also always suggest packing a silk wrap. I take one to every wedding I attend because it really elevates your look and feels very appropriate to drape over the shoulder during the ceremony.
While I was in the Rachel Comey store, I also purchased a pair of white pants because I think that white just really elevates any and all outfits when you’re on an island. I also really love this pair by Vince that are on sale!
Let’s talk about hats!
You guys know I’m a cult follower of Janessa Leone. Her hats just fit my big ‘ole head so well! I destroyed my Michon hat by accident on a trip to Mexico {rip hat}. So, I invested in a brand new one for my trip. I love the Michon because it’s a packable hat (you literally fold it in half) and it goes with everything.
This is just a few of the newer pieces that I’ll be packing up for my trip this week. Be sure to check back as I’ll be posting from the island.
Are you taking any tropical vacations this holiday?
