Are people really wearing pajamas as clothes? The answer, simply put: Yes. But I wouldn’t suggest pulling out your old ratty pajamas for just any occasion and you need to be very careful about selecting a pair that is right for wearing out and about. For me, the pajama trend is all about the material. Silky night gown dresses and pajamas that can be worn out need to be in either silk or velvet. I personally wouldn’t wear cotton PJs out unless it’s just the top with distressed denim and heels. My favorite shoes to pair with a pajama set are slip on loafers. The pants need to show a bit of your ankle so maybe get them tailored to feel more cropped. The best part about this trend is you can literally wear it anyway. I wore this velvet set to the Armani Show in Paris and then the next day I wore it home on my flight to Los Angeles. Talk about transitional!
Check out the bottom of this post where I’ve included a few favorite PJ Sets for fall!
