August can be a bit of a tricky month when it comes to dressing.
In many states, the heat of the summer is in full effect, but in others the slight hint of fall air starts to creep through the evening. Because I’m almost always cold, plus Los Angeles is known to be ever so slightly chilly at night, I’ve started to get a bit creative with how I’m slowly but surely starting to wear fall layers, yet still look summer appropriate.
My favorite trick of the moment is to layer dresses on top of each other. In this outfit I’m wearing a light silky white dress with a heavier knit sleeveless one over it. The sleeveless dress can be worn once the fall season really starts to settle in with tights and long sleeve blouses underneath.
