Going home for the holidays is always an exciting, yet sometimes stressful time. Packing outfits that are comfortable and chic can be a bit of a challenge. I always try and stick to styles that are versatile enough to carry you from the dinner table to lounging on the couch watching football. As a brand ambassador for Cotton, I’m excited to share my favorite cotton rich pieces to pack up for Thanksgiving weekend, along with a few packing tips and tricks. I love wearing cotton, especially during the holidays, because it is super soft and easy to pack. Cotton rich clothing has at least 60% cotton in them {and jeans 90%}, so be sure to check your labels when shopping for fall.
No matter what, I always pack a cotton dress for Thanksgiving that can be worn with flats or heels. Whether your Thanksgiving Dinner is casual or more on the dressy side, cotton rich dresses can adapt to any occasion. All you have to do is dress up with heels, or dress down with flats.
Heidi Merrick dresses are a longtime favorite of mine because of the incredible fit. She's a local Los Angeles gal who has a very keen sense of designing pieces that are elevated, yet relaxed too.

When I am packing for any trip, I always try and stick to one color of shoe because it forces me to commit to one color tone of outfit selections. This way I can mix and match pieces easily. For example, this striped long sleeve top would look great with denim jeans, black pants, a blazer or even underneath a chunky sweater. You can easily wear pieces more than once if you get creative.
I've had this striped tee for over a year and it remains a favorite in my closet. It's super soft and doesn't wrinkle so it's perfect for packing.

Jean jackets and denim should be your best friends when traveling home for the holidays. Not only is denim extremely easy to pack, but it’s the perfect piece of clothing to wear over and over again.
This is my favorite jean jacket in the world. The more you wear it, the softer and more broken in it gets. I love wearing it with dressier outfits like white crisp button downs and black pants or just tossing it over a cute dress.

I don’t know when and where women got the idea in our heads that we need to pack a hundred pairs of shoes for travel. If you really think about it, you probably wear the same flats and the same heels on repeat when you’re on a trip. Trust me, you only “need” one of each.
No matter what, you should always and forever have {and pack} a white cotton button down in your wardrobe. It can be worn in so many different ways and if you are ever stumped on what to wear, it’s the easiest piece to incorporate into an outfit.
My motto: If you're going to wear something hundreds of times then it's worth it to pull the trigger on investing in a great piece such as this classic button down by Thom Browne.

“Athleisure” wear is definitely trending, but that doesn’t mean that you have to look sloppy while spooning up on the couch with leftover turkey watching the parade. Stick to pieces that are more fitted and toss on a chunky knit sweater to pull off a relaxed, cozy look.
Everytime I buy a new pair of joggers I live in them for weeks. Stay cozy and warm in these 100% cotton joggers over the Thanksgiving holiday.
