I wasn’t the first blogger to jump on the 70s bandwagon. I mean, I’m not a super 70s style kind of dresser, however I wanted to find my own classic way of pulling of the latest trend so I scooped up a pair of wide leg jeans from Old Navy. First of all, I’m obsessed with the way these jeans fit. Not one, but two people stopped me on the street asking where I got them {score!}. As a brand ambassador for Old Navy I couldn’t have felt more proud.
I feel like there are two different types of 70s style, one that is super extreme with fringe and suede and the other being more girlie with lace and peplum. Since this months theme is all about the 70s, I chose to incorporate my girlie side into the wide leg with a wide top. When pairing wide leg jeans with any top you want to either go fully fitted, or fitted on the top with a bit more loose fit on the bottom which is why peplum is a good choice. Just make sure the top isn’t too long otherwise it will shorten you.
