Every year my family and I write down on a piece of paper what we are the most thankful for and then we put the papers in a bowl. One person reads them all out loud and we try to guess who wrote what and somehow it always turns into a light hearted game of laughter and warm feelings of love. Over the past few years my paper has included things like “I am thankful for my supportive family and friends…” to “I am thankful for my husband for loving me completely.” While these sentiments will always ring true, year after year, I wanted to take a moment to write down another thing that I am eternally grateful for.
I have never in my life been a morning person and in college I felt like a championship snoozer, often skipping my morning classes and easily sleeping until 1 o’clock. If there’s any one thing that specifically proves to me on a daily basis that I am doing what I meant to do, it’s that I bounce out of bed every morning at 6:30am {sans alarm} and race so quickly to my desk that I sometimes miss brushing my teeth! And I know I have said this before and I honestly don’t know if any of you really know how much I mean this when I do say it, but I am eternally thankful for you . . . my readers. If it were not for you, visiting this space on a daily, weekly, monthly basis whether it be here on the website or on one of my social media channels, I wouldn’t be able to live out my dreams. This has been such a wonderful experience that has completely transformed and shaped my life in ways that I cannot explain. Thank you for every share, every comment, every e-mail, every critique and every smile. I’ve gotten to know some of you very well and believe me when I say that you are always with me.
I hope you have a warm Thanksgiving.
