The moment I read about The General Sherman Tree in Sequoia National Park, I knew it was a special place that I wanted to visit. After all, who wouldn’t want to check out the world’s largest living tree!? Then, when Barbour reached out about sharing their new Heritage Collection, I immediately started researching “glamping” options in the Sequoias and came across the adorable High Sierra Camp.
I mean, glamping and Barbour? Two peas in a pod! Packing was made really easy when Barbour sent me their new adorable leaf crew neck that I practically wore the entire trip. I love Barbour jackets because you feel classic and stylish just putting one on, and you do not need to really worry about the rest of your outfit. I lived in the two jackets I took on this trip. One was shorter, which I wore mainly during the day, and the longer quilted jacket I busted out at night {I even wore it with a slip dress!}.
Our quick trip mainly consisted of a long day hike up to the Lookout Point and then checking out the General Sherman Tree on our last day. If you haven’t checked out my vlog about our bear encounter, be sure to click here. All in all, it was a truly special experience that I will remember forever. If you’re the adventurous type, I strongly suggest a visit to High Sierra Camp – but don’t forget to pack your Barbour!
This is hands down my new favorite coat for fall. The minute I got it, I knew it was light enough to wear now and heavy enough to carry me through the colder months. I liked the idea of dressing up the dark green with a gold slip dress.
Shop NowI got these boots last year and have been wearing them nonstop. They are the perfect hiking boot, snow boot, or any other outdoor activity. I've worn them through snow storms in New York and winters in Aspen, and they've always held up.
