Do you ever wonder what you would buy if you could start from scratch? Let’s just hypothetically say that your closet is empty and you have $10,000 to spend. Where would you spend it? Do we buy clothes from certain stores because they blend in with our already existing wardrobe? Or, do we truly buy things that inspire us and that make us feel great about ourselves? Lately I’ve been trying to pay attention to the clothes I purchase. Sometimes I will buy something that I am not 100% thrilled about, but I know that it’s in tune with the rest of the clothes in my closet so I get it anyway. Then, the other day as I was packing up for a trip to Laguna Beach I noticed that a lot of my wardrobe consists of the exact same thing over and over. And while it’s nice to have a cohesive wardrobe that mixes and matches well together, I can’t say that I was entirely excited about what I was packing {aside from a few recently purchases from Heidi Merrick!}. So, my latest goal is to buy what brings me joy and to purchase only the pieces that inspire.
