Outfits 10 years ago Endless Summer
Little did I know that the last weekend of summer would end up being the best weekend of summer.
Don’t get me wrong, I knew that a weekend spent in in Loreto, Mexico with our best friends would be fun. But I had no idea it would be as exhilarating and awe-inspiring as it ended up being. It was the absolute perfect mix of laughter, relaxation, thrill, mischief and inspiration. From skinny dipping in the incredibly calm, warm water to racing along dolphins at sea, we experienced everything from sipping the absolute best drinks I’ve ever had in my life {no joke!} to opening up our own private “Disco” with the hotel staff.
The trip appropriately ended with the four of us laying on the beach at 2 a.m. We laughed about Rhys’ constant desire to skinny dip, reflected on the beauty of the dolphins and salivated over memories of the delicious food we’d had. We couldn’t get over how in just one quick 2 hour flight from Los Angeles, we had found one of the most remote and beautiful destinations we’d ever experienced. It truly felt like we had our own private island the entire weekend.
Then, Catt told us how she had an awful dream before our trip that the plane had crashed en route. The conversation turned philosophical as she said “Maybe our plane did in fact crash and now we are all in heaven.” We all agreed that if in fact this were true, that we were very happy to be there. As we let out a shared sigh, the music turned to M83’s “Wait” and just as the song was about to end we all spotted a falling star. It was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
A million thanks to the Villa del Palmar for an incredible experience.
