Uncategorized 11 years ago Damsel X Gorjana Is Here
After months of planning, design meetings and anticipation, my capsule collection for Gorjana has finally arrived!
When Gorjana & Griffin asked me to design a capsule collection for them, I leapt at the opportunity because it is a brand that I have always loved and admired for their versitile, classic and stylish pieces. With collections that are created for the jet setter who finds herself moving from the west coast to east, I resonate with the brand in that I am constantly a girl who is on the go. I wanted to echo already pre-existing sense of classic style that comes with the brand while also adding my own personal touch to the capsule collection.
Tweet about the collection to @thedamselindior & @gorjanagriffin using the #DamselXGorjana for a chance to WIN a Hanger Necklace.
Five winners will be announced via @thedamselindior’s Twitter account at 5pm PST on 9/17/2013.
It was a no brainer to create a Hanger Group after my blogs logo. This necklace & earring set is perfect for the girl who loves all things fashion and isn’t afraid to show it.
Everyone knows that my 2 english bulldogs, William & Polly, are the absolute joys of my life. These two bring a constant stream of laughter and love so I created a set for my fellow dog loving damsels.
The High Line Group was inspired by one of my favorite areas in New York, The High Line, which spans from the meatpacking district to northern parts of Chelsea. This elevated park is very unique to me because it embodies a beautiful juxtaposition of modern lines, urban green space, raw high rises and it compliments the city in an effortless way. Just as The High Line park compliments NYC, each piece of The High Line collection was inspired to compliment the person who wears it.
The Hope Group was easily inspired by the New Hope Initiative and the work that they are doing worldwide. I started working with the team around 4 years ago and love traveling to help with the projects in Kenya. 100% of the proceeds from The Hope Group will go to the New Hope Initiative.
The Armitage pieces were inspired by the city I went to college in, Chicago, which will forever have a special place in my heart. Armitage Ave. was a place that my girlfriends and I would often find ourselves shopping and it was also home to my Aunt Celeste’s boutique. This was a very influential time in my life where I truly felt like I was starting to find my own personal style. The Armitage Collection is dedicated to my Chicago girls and Aunt Celeste who are truly some of the most fashionable women I know both inside and out.
