A few weekends ago the temps struck 80 degrees in Los Angeles and I wasn’t about to not take full advantage. Immediately upon welcoming warmer temperatures, I immediately welcomed the Splendid X Damsel Collection I designed back into full rotation. While I’d been layering it under and over pieces all winter, it felt really wonderful to bust out my favorite pieces for spring/summer.

I’m not going to lie, not every morning includes reading the Times while sipping on coffee but I will say that I do live in my Splendid X Damsel pants. My family calls them “House Pants,” but I truly end up wearing these bad boys all over town. The more you wear them, the softer and better fit you will get.
Before the spring set in, I was constantly wearing my favorite white button down under chunky sweaters and on balmy days in Los Angeles. My new favorite way to style this transitional piece is tossing it over my swimsuit as a cover up!
I will never forget getting the first sample of this dress. While the collection launched in late fall, I received my very first sample of this dress in June. I had a trip planned to Bermuda and I literally could not take it off. Nervous as to how I would style it for winter, I simply tossed on a pair of black pants under it during a trip to Paris. And here I am, full circle, back to wearing my favorite Splendid X Damsel piece at the beach. I actually purchased several so that I can have them in my wardrobe for my future daughter.
