Outfits 10 years ago 7 Fall Wardrobe Staples
“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”
The Great Gatsby knew a thing or two about how to throw a great celebration. And just as your spirit is slowly shifting into holiday party mode, your closet should be shifting into getting ready for layers and vibrant prints for fall. In collaboration with my favorite wine, Seven Daughters, here are 7 pieces for your fall closet that are a must have.
#1. A tan blazer will add a rich feel to any look and serves as a great alternative to the expected black blazer.
#2: A splash of leopard added to any outfit will warm up the look for fall. Treat leopard as a neutral for your autumn wardrobe.
#3: The #1 fall must have accessory is a wide brimmed hat. It’s great for those less than perfect hair days and will keep your head warm.
#4: You can toss the “no white after Labor Day” rule out the window. A white clutch or heel will brighten up any fall look.
#5: Black pointed booties are flirty and fabulous for a fall shoe. My favorite pair by Saint Laurent are on sale here!
#6: Bring your favorite nautical stripes into the autumn equation by layering them under sweaters or your favorite blazer. A pop of stripe adds a playful touch to the darker colors of fall.
#7: In my opinion, a trench coat should serve as a year-round staple for your closet.
And don’t forget to never show up to any fall fiesta empty handed! A bottle of Seven Daughters Red Blend makes for the perfect beverage for all of your friends to share.
