As I stomped down the streets of New York the past week during the most stylish time of year {New York Fashion Week}, I noticed several fall worthy trends on days where there was a slight autumn breeze blowing through the air.

1. Checkered Scarves – This should be and always will be a fall staple. It’s the perfect print to have popping out from under sweaters & coats.

2. Burgundy Head to Toe – Just like the color of my favorite rich red, I noticed a lot of stylish women rocking head to toe dark merlot.

3. Sweater dresses – These are especially perfect for those days in between warm & cold. You can wear flats or booties depending on the temp.

4. Dresses over pants – Speaking of dresses, something that I saw a lot of were women wearing dresses over pants which I thought was a super cute idea. The trick is to wear pants that are super skinny and a dress that’s a bit more bilowy.

5. Wide Leg Pants – The return of the wide leg is back and better than ever! Wide leg jeans and pants were seen all over the street style game and I could not be more excited.

6. Turtlenecks – I’ve always been a bit hesitate to wear a turtleneck but I saw a few that were loose fitting around the neck which inspired me to hunt one down for myself.

7. Oh hey grey – I love grey {obviously} and find that it matches well with nearly everything. Grey is the new camel for this fall.
