Style Tips 5 years ago 4 Classic Wardrobe Favorites Under $50
I’ve been very focused on striving to keep my wardrobe feeling more like a capsule collection of pieces that I will wear for many years to come.
The only downside to this is most of these pieces are investment items and I’m not able to hit “refresh” on my closet as much as I need to, especially working as a “fashion blogger.” I recently came across a few photos on my phone from a few years back that reminded me that I don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to ramp up my wardrobe options.
Here are a few key pieces that are easy to purchase that will give your wardrobe a new dimension.
A Simple Long Sleeve Stripe
I used to wear stripes so much more often and I truly miss having this as a staple in my closet. I love this staple stripe by J.Crew because you can layer in under a sweater or blazer until it warms up a bit more.
Not So Simple Sweater
I have this balloon sleeve sweater by Autumn Cashmere that I get 10000’s of compliments on. I’ve been wearing it nonstop all winter but if you’re looking for a little less pricey option, I found a very similar version for $25 on H&M.
Silky Little Something
A silk blouse in white and black are a 100% must have in everyone’s closet. It’s my number one piece I grab for when dressing for night. You can toss on a dress or a blazer over. You can button all the way up to the top or leave a few undone. The options are very open for this classic staple.
Bust Out Baubles
You can have the same old little black dress you’ve worn a hundred times over but if you style it with different accessories you’ll have a look that will last you a life time. Whether you are dressing things up with a low bun a bit of bling or keeping things casual with a beach wave and something straw, a pair of new earrings can truly add another layer to your closet options.
