Dreaming The Night Away

I found a cozy nook in my exquisite room at the Four Seasons to nestle into as I waiting for my room service to arrive. With technology always at my finger tips, televisions inviting you to glue your eyes to every show, I find it extremely difficult to find a moment of solitude  where I can be still with my thoughts. Luckily I was easily able to find that within the walls of this amazing hotel. I felt comfortable enough to feel that I was home, yet the thrill of being someplace new and exotic left my heart racing. Just as I thought things couldn’t get any better, a butler rang the door and brought in the most delicious spaghetti I have ever had in my life. After a delicious meal, movie and a phone call home, my head buried into the pillow and I slept like a baby.

Lovely post, I have been trying to get back to NY for years now. Will have to live it through yr eyes for now!

  • Love these personal posts. I live in NYC and I always say it can be the loneliest place sometimes even when there are a million people rushing by you.
    Great Post!

    beautiful post! thank you!!

  • Love that poem too.

  • first of all, gorgeous pictures (as always). second, i came across this quote the other day and think it relates well to the feeling of loneliness in a large city:

“I used to feel so alone in the city. All those gazillions of people and then me, on the outside. Because how do you meet a new person? I was very stunned by this for many years. And then I realized, you just say, “Hi.” They may ignore you. Or you may marry them. And that possibility is worth that one word.”

  • I absolutely love that quote and feel the exact same way about NYC.

  • New York can make even the toughest feel blue sometimes!

  • This is so true. I live in nyc and have totally felt that way as well. but you always come out of it 🙂

  • I know exactly what you mean by how NYC can feel incredibly lonely, especially when there are so many people running around you, always with somewhere to be. Looks like you had a great spot for reflecting while you were here, though!

  • You look gorgeous and I can totally relate! The smaller the space, the easier it is for me to focus and look inward.

You’re sense of style is top notch… not only do you style well, but you have depth as well. Beautiful combo…

  • Just beautiful. I know that feeling all to well. I usually run to the beach and sit by the ocean (San Diego girl ;)). Thank you for sharing your beauty, inside and out.

Love this outfit! The fact that you are never truly alone in the city is one of the many reasons why I love it.
