It was a pretty ordinary weekend in Los Angeles {minus the crazy fire near Santa Clarita}. I spent the day chillin’ poolside at the Viceroy Santa Monica. Fun Fact: Did you know that the Viceroy is one of only a handful of pools in Los Angeles that you can hang out at even if you aren’t staying at the hotel?

When I was at Nordstrom the other day checking out the big anniversary sale, I scoured the shelves for a good face screen with a strong SPF. I’ve always heard great things about Shiseido and I must admit that the hype upheld itself. I like this face sunscreen because it’s really light and oil free.  {Click here to see my Top 5 favorites from the Nordstrom Sale}

To say I am in love with my new Marysia Swimsuit is an understatement. It’s hard to find a strong one piece swimsuit that makes you feel cute and sexy. I had 3 women come up to me at the pool that day asking where I got it. If you aren’t keen on dropping $300+ on a swimsuit {which I totally get}, here are a few cute scalloped one piece alternatives.

My newest favorite skincare product is the Armani Prima that the Armani team gifted to me while I was in Palm Springs. If you follow closely on my Snapchat channel, you’ve probably heard me mention this whole dark spot situation I’ve had going on with my upper lip from sun exposure. The Armani Prima is said to reduce dark circles and provide a more defined outline for eyes and lips. I’m dedicated to giving it an honest try and I must say, so far, so good.

Two more favorites that I always carry in my pool bag are the Ouai Wave Spray & Bliss Radiance Mist. I’m much more apt to cannonball into the pool knowing I can spritz my face and hair immediately following.

On the drive home the skies were crazy apocalyptic looking due to the fires in Santa Clarita. The entire house had an orange glow to it as I got ready for date night at one of my favorite restaurants called “Animal.” Notice something new?

Took me a long time to track down this beauties by Chanel. Have no fear, I found a strong knock-off pair for $140 which you can find by clicking here.

On Sunday I chilled out with my new book, the pups and a yummy charcuterie board.

What did you do this weekend? Do you have any new restaurants or hot spots to suggest?
