If a trend comes along that I am not 100% sold on, I refuse to falter from my gut instinct.

If you surfed the blogosphere at all last year I’m sure you saw this very popular skirt pop up on multiple sites other than this one. It’s not that I didn’t love the skirt, but there was something about it that felt off to me. I liked it, but didn’t love it. That was until the other day when I walked into Zara & saw that they just came out with the style in…{wait for it}…leather. We all know I’m a sucker for leather shorts, pants, skirts, you name it. So before thinking twice I put her on and have been wearing her since.

Zara Skirt {$70} // Paper Denim & Cloth Sweater {$368, similar one here for $44} // Goyard Pouch {would love this clutch too!} //  Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots{$750, ℅} // Wanderlust Necklace {$30, c/o} // Wanderlust Ring {℅} // Vita Fede Mini Titan Rings

  • That skirt looks rad. Have to go to Zara 😀

    xx Mira

  • This is such a gorgeous outfit! I’m the same with the ‘skirts’ trend, I feel quite vulnerable around the middle as it peaks. But it looks really nice in leather and I love the different textures you’ve put together 🙂

    love your skirt

I agree, I stayed far away from this trend… however I have too admit…the leather one is gorgeous!

  • This looks classy but cosy – nice combination. And I love the clutch!

  • I’ve always loved the shape of this piece but I could not bring myself to ever buy it because EVERYONE and their mother had one and that just instantly turns me off…the leather is amazing though…I can see why that would sway that knit as well…

  • Yes! I remember seeing a similar skirt! I think the whole skorts trend is out now too and they have similar silhouettes… not sure how I feel about it. But like this on you!

  • Such a sweet look! That sweater is darling, and that skirt is marvelous in leather! What a great find!

  • Loooooove the skirt, especially in leather…. I’ve been tempted to buy the style but wasn’t sure 100%, but now seeing it in leather….I’m falling for it! Your look awesome Jayce…

I absolutely LOVE those boots. They are fantastic. I have hesitated ordering them, because I think that might be too tall for me (as I am vertically challenged). If you don’t mind my asking….how tall are you?
I find those boots consuming my every thought and I NEED them!!!

  • Love skorts and a leather one is just amazing!

    Greetings from London,

IF I buy this skirt (who am I kidding…When) it will be the third piece I’ve purchased this week based on your outfits…I love you, your style…and oddly your ability to influence my spending habits 😉 If you ever need a reference from a follower of your blogging awesomeness…I’m your girl. xo

  • This skort is genius creation on Zaras part. I think it’s the single most blogged item which isnt a luxury designer piece. Love it on you! I’ve got several of them, in fact, one which will be styled on blog tomorrow!

  • Such a great outfit! So cozy and chic! I haven’t tried this trend yet but the leather is making my think I should 🙂

Finally getting a Zara in Seattle. Woop! Woop! I loved the green plaid version and thought it looked great the way you styled it. Sold out before I could nab it but I am not a leather girl. Looks great on you!

You look fab in everything, Jacey! You’re my constant style inspiration. Can you please tell me who makes your sunglasses?
