Please understand: I have been wanting to leave ever since I figured out there were roads willing to take me where I wanted to go.
This outfit reminds me of something I would wear back home in South Texas. Sometimes it’s nice to dress as if I still live back home, within the walls of southern hospitality and wholesome vibes. It’s hard not to feel homesick from time to time. Sometimes all I want is the smell of a cotton harvest, the taste of a Whataburger #8 and the priceless sound of my mother’s voice & my father’s warm presence. But then I remember the road that my parents introduced me to. The road that is sometimes bitter sweet but that also provides endless opportunity and adventure. Because that is what life is all about. It’s about finding a road and heading down it to see what lies on the other side. While it can be heart wrenching and home sick at times, I know that in some way my family is always with me no matter where I go.
