The Morning After {Hangover Cures}

We’ve all been there. In fact, I’m guessing that on this first morning of 2018, there are a lot of us are finding ourselves smack dab in the midst of a morning hangover. Sadly there is no magic cure for a hangover, however I’ve put together a few of my tried, tested and true cures for the hangover flu.

1. Get Some Sleep

When in doubt, the best thing you can do to get rid of a mean hangover is sleep. Rest will be your best friend so that your body has time to recover.

2. Avoid Caffeine {sort of}

I hate coffee when I have a hangover, however a Sprite or Coca Cola is the first thing that makes me feel better followed very quickly by a plate of greasy food.

3. Feed Yourself {with fries}

If the idea of downing chicken fingers makes you feel ill, stick to bland foods such as pretzels or crackers. Anything that is mineral and protein rich.

4. Take A Shower

Once you feel up for it, take a nice cool shower. It’s a quick way to give yourself a bolt of energy by waking up the senses.

5. Hair of the Dog

While many people say the hair of the dog does the trick for them, the most I’ve ever managed was a bloody Mary instead. The tomato juice and other ingredients will offer some vitamins.
