Journey To Perfect Plaid

I’ve been on a journey to find the perfect plaid shirt since my trip to Paris. It all began during a stroll down rue Saint-Honoré; I noticed the couture houses were featuring bold plaids in their store window displays.

The deep hues and rich blends made my heart warm. I didn’t want to walk in and drop thousands on a single piece of cotton (that which my Dad farms—he would kill me), so I took a more practical point of view on the hunt for the perfect plaid.

As I thought about how my Dad harvests cotton, I was reminded of my relationship with Levi’s and how the cotton from our farm makes its way to their factory. I then wondered if Levi’s had any plaid that would pull at my heart strings.

As soon as I got back to Los Angeles, I wasn’t surprised to find that there was plenty of plaid for the pickin’ at Levi’s.

I smiled with the contentment of knowing I was wearing a piece of home. Levi’s always finds a way to make their mark on the fashion industry in a sensibly chic way. I chose to style this particular plaid by mixing it with luxe leather because I love the juxtaposition of leather meets cotton. Cotton softens up a leather pant and leather toughens up the soft material of cotton in an unexpected way.
