All I keep thinking about is that by this time next year I will be enjoying my first holiday season in a new home.
Lately I’ve been pinning inspiration to my “Holiday” Pinterest board and can’t stop dreaming up how I want to decorate the new house.
I’m a huge fan of all things burlap, especially during the holiday season. I found these Burlap Stockings to be super cute and outside of the box. Click here to see how I made custom burlap placemats for the dinner table.

I absolutely adore the simplicity in this idea of placing Christmas tree branches in a tall vase. I feel like this is a great option if you don’t want to fuss with bringing an entire Christmas tree into your home.
Have you noticed a theme to the images in the post? They are in the same color family! If you pick one or two colors to decorate your home for the holidays, it truly helps narrow down the hundreds of options when it comes to decor.
More Black & Gold Decor:
Last year I purchased 450 feet of Kraft Paper and it’s all I’ve ever used to wrap any and all gifts since. It was the best purchase I think I’ve ever made because it comes in super handy for all sorts of things. I love wrapping all of my gifts under the Christmas tree in the same paper because it really ties everything together nicely. Click here to watch my “How to Wrap a Present Video.”

It’s the first thing people see about your home that will get them in the holiday sprit. Dressing up your yard and front door is just as important as decking your halls. I love when the facade of a home matches the interior because it gives a very consistent and cheery feel.
