I feel like everywhere I turn there’s an amazing new oil that all of my friends are raving about that I can’t wait to get my hands on. I don’t know if it’s the idea of mixing lotions and potions, but there’s something really fun about incorporating face oils into your beauty regime. Not only is it fun, but it works! I started using face oils months ago and I’ve seen a big improvement in the way my skin feels. I mix oils with my foundation, my primer and even my moisturizer. Because my face and skin feels different nearly every day depending on environmental, stress and hydration factors, I have a few oils which are in continued rotation that I wanted to share with you.

I love my nightly ritual of putting on oil just before bed. I keep my favorites on the nightstand so I don't forget.

SUNDAY RILEY

LUNA SLEEPING NIGHT OIL

This was my very first night time oil that was suggested by my best friend. This oil smells like sleep. I absolutely love it! It's perfect for evening out skin tone and waking up your face for the next morning. I would not suggest using it every night. Use 2-3 times a week.

KORRES

BLACK PINE 3D SCULPTING & FIRMING SLEEPING OIL

The smell of this oil will make you feel excited to cozy up for a good night of sleep. This is a better option to use daily and it is a bit friendlier on the budget.

RODIN

LAVENDER FACE OIL

Calling all lavender lovers! Rodin recently sent me their popular oil and I'm officially hooked! It's a bit lighter than the other two night oils and the smell is heavenly.

How you start your day can leave a lasting impression on your mood, energy and overall well being. After cleaning my face, I will either mix these oils with my moisturizer or put them on top. I've always been told to press oils in to your face, don't rub. And give your skin the precious time and focus that it deserves by really massaging your face.

VINTNER'S DAUGHTER

ACTIVE BOTANICAL SERUM

This is hands down without a doubt my current favorite oil for day, night, afternoon. I may or may not be using it a bit too much! Ha! I am obsessed.

La Mer

THE RENEWAL OIL

La Mer introduced me to this amazing oil years ago and it's been on my daily regime since. This oil is much lighter than the rest and mixes in really well with foundation.

SUNDAY RILEY

C.E.O. RAPID FLASH BRIGHTENING SERUM

Finding a brightening serum that actually works can be like finding a needle in a haystack. Because I love the Sunday Riley sleep oil so much, I have a good feeling about this new investment. Fingers crossed I start seeing a difference. I just started using it this week.

  • Hey Jacey! I wanted to say a thank you for writing this post as I’ve been meaning to try out face oils for so long. Now I actually have an idea where to start!

The Luna sleeping night oil sounds tempting, perhaps I’ll try it first. Lovely scent is so important for me!

Sending love from Scandinavia! xx http://www.arcticvanilla.com/

Vintners is soooooooo damn good! I am already on my second bottle and i know i will never be without it from now on, ahh the difference it makes! The smell! It’s sooo worth the hefty price tag (but shhhhh, we need to keep this under wraps, its already hard enough to get your hands on in Australia!)

Jacey, can you elaborate a little more on just what makes Vintner’s Daughter so great? I don’t mean it cynically, I just feel like every review I’ve seen from a blogger says that it’s amazing and everyone loves it, but no one ever specifies WHY. If I’m going to spend $180 on face oil (and justify it to the huz) it better make my skin supple, clear, and even as hell and make me look 5 years younger. I’d love to know what you think in more detail!

Also, while I’m at it, I’m a long term reader and adore your style and your blog. Thanks for the daily fashion inspo! ❤
