En Route

The London Bulldog

 Whether I am traveling near or far I want to look chic, yet feel comfortable. I don’t know about you, but I miss the days when people used to get glammed up for globe-trotting. When I’m hopping from one place to the next, I always try and wear a pair of comfortable heels with a flirty outfit that sets the mood for some instant fun upon arrival. You’d be surprised at how wearing a pair of heels {go with wedges} can put you in a good mood. Of course I always stash a pair of cute flats in my tote just in case I have to run from gate to gate!

{p.s. that bulldog statue made William & Polly extremely jealous}

  1. Adorable travel outfit! I love a black and white combo with some red thrown in. I am totally with you on the glamming up part-people used to be so fabulous! I do have to say though, when I am traveling I really want to be comfy, but of course that doesn’t mean you cant look great! Oh, also, your dog is adorable. I’m sure you are fully aware of that fact already :)

  2. that tote is fab-u-lous! I agree about traveling in style – my grandmother always used to say she missed the days when people got dressed up to fly or take a road trip. there’s nothing worse that getting off a plane in a pair of leggings and v-neck and having to go change, so it’s a great idea to be dressed for whatever adventure might come your way

  3. Love this! I too miss the days of dressing up for trips to the airport! Sadly, now pajamas seem acceptable. I always try to dress fashionably yet comfortably. And I always wear shoes that slip on and off easily for security :)

  4. Yes! I don’t see how wearing baggy, worn-out sweatpants is more comfortable than a pair of chic, loose-fit trousers. Of course we all want to feel at ease when traveling, but does that necessitate wearing an old college t-shirt and fuzzy bedroom slippers to the airport? You look put-together and comfortable! I hope you do more posts with packing tips– I’m one of those terrible travelers who manages to both over-pack and yet not have enough outfits.

  5. That outfit is positively adorable. I love those wedges. I also like dressing up when I go traveling since it makes me feel ready to get going when I arrive.

  6. Love those shoes – you are so right, socitety is so used to travelling now it seems to have taken the glamour and excitment out of it! I am flying to Bali next month, so i iwll be sure to wear a pair of comfy wedges and a cute, travel friendly outfit to match!

    Great Post
