City Wedding

Kymerah City Wedding Dress

A few days ago we received an invite to a wedding in Melbourne, Australia for two of our dearest friends. You can imagine my elatement when, as we debated whether or not we were going, we realized how this same couple traveled from London to LA for our wedding. So, needless to say it’s looking optimistic {fingers crossed} that we will be making a trip to Australia come February. I can’t tell you how many e-mails I’ve been getting lately from fellow damsels seeking wedding attire advise {love that btw!}. After talking “beach wedding” and then “vineyard wedding,” today it’s all about the city wedding & I think you’ll find a common thread in my wedding dress advise:

For summer wedding attire, it’s all about the flow of the dress. Let the material and the dancing of the fabric in the wind do all of the talking. An understated dress with a statement necklace and classic heel is appropriate for any wedding dress code. For summer weddings I am all about a long, easy maxi dress.

  1. Love that dress! I am beyond jealous that you might be going to Australia. Australia is one of the top places I would love to go to.

  2. I love those shoes. I’ve had mixed experiences with Steve Madden – Curious to know if they are comfortable.

Love the dress – I have such a hard time finding maxi’s. i never know which pattern to pick.

  3. This is so, so pretty! I love the idea of a maxi dress for a wedding, and this one looks amazing on you! Fingers crossed you get to go to Australia! How exciting!

  4. Loving your dress! So glad to see you wearing a maxi, I recently bought one to wear to a wedding and found myself questioning it until now. Thanks for the inspiration :)

  5. This dress would be perfect for Melbourne (you must go). Its the fashion capital of Aus. I went to a wedding last February in Melbourne and it was beyond hot. This dress will work great in the heat and adding a light jacket in case the crazy Melbourne temperature plunges will work great.
PS. Thanks for introducing this great label to me.

  6. Hi Jacey,
You look absolutely gorgeous in all your pics and you have such a lovely friendly look about you which is very refreshing compared to a lot of other bloggers – could you tell me which sunglasses you wear please?

  7. love love love this dress! i haven’t worn a long dress to a wedding yet but i think this is the year. long & flowy and it doesn’t seem too formal.

  8. Stunning! Your makeup is always so lovely and natural, I’ve been looking for a pink lipstick like that and have had trouble finding the right color. Would you mind telling me what lipstick you use?

    • Hi Emily ~
I don’t use lipstick! I actually just use my foundation over my lips. Thanks for the compliment though! XX

  9. How long ago did you purchase The Loft necklace?? In love with it! Any clue what it’s called, was going to try and locate it through their stores. xx

  11. Hey Jacey -
What sorts of cover ups do you suggest for keeping warm? I have the shorter version of your Vineyard Wedding dress..

Also, what shoes would you recommend wearing to a vineyard wedding where it may be a little dusty ;)

    Thanks!

    • Hi Joanie ~
I love the idea of tossing on a cute microsuede: http://rstyle.me/n/zaeuf55
      over this dress.

As for shoes I would do wedges & try not to let the dust affect your shoe choice. If you can find a close toe wedge that’d be ideal :)
      Have fuN!
