Breaking 80

I’m sorry east coasters but this is the reason why I moved to LA: It was hot, sunny and reached 80 degree temps this week and I couldn’t be more excited because Heidi Merrick just busted out her Spring Collection therefore I busted out her Huntington Dress.

  1. I just started to read your blog and am in love! Your blog is the perfect balance of fashion finds, inspiration, home, and just plain fun!

I have a few questions for you. that I am hoping you can answer in future posts. First, how do you determine when to splurge on a “classic” piece versus settle for a less expensive piece? Do you intentionally try to mix highs and lows? Do you find yourself trying to stick to buy fewer, investment pieces? This is something I struggle with, and would love to hear your thoughts.

Also, you seem so down to earth, and of course, have amazing style. Do you do anything in particular to keep yourself grounded?

I am in the process of trying to streamline the contents inside my purse (wallet, makeup case, snaller change purse, etc.). I don’t necessarily want all of them to be the same designer, but I do want them to coordinate in some way. Any suggestions? I want them to be classics, but still youthful.

  2. I love love love this outfit, and am supremely jealous of your warm temps and ability to wear such an outfit without getting frostbite. The dress is gorgeous, and I love the gold accessories!

  3. Such a pretty dress, so not fair either! It’s in the 30s today where I’m at. I’m living vicariously through this post dreaming of warmer weather!

  6. Wonderful blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally confused .. Any ideas? Cheers!
